47 www.drivesncontrols.com June 2026 NEW PRODUCTS n Weidmüller has combined a series of touchpanel monitors with its Procon-Web ES Webbased HMI software to create “intuitive” operating devices said to simplify machine visualisation and commissioning. The u-view Advanced V2 panels combine a runtime environment and HMI and can be operated directly via a built-in browser. Other Webenabled devices, such as tablets or PCs, can also access the HMI, giving machine operators an overview of their machines. The rugged design with capacitive multi-touch functions and IP66 protection can withstand harsh industrial environments. Sizes range from 7–21.5 inches. Comms drivers for OPC-UA, Modbus, Codesys, Allen-Bradley and Siemens TIA controls facilitate integration with automation environments. Predefined widgets, and complex controls such as wizards and trend displays, make it easier to create user interfaces. Weidmüller www.weidmuller.co.uk/en/ index.jsp Enemac is offering stainless-steel torque limiters (safety couplings) for hygienic applications, in both direct and indirect versions. The couplings provide reliable overload protection while meeting stringent requirements in terms of hygiene, corrosion resistance and safety. Their coating-free design makes them suitable for aggressive cleaning processes. The ECV and ECW couplings are designed for chain and timing belt drives, transmitting torques from 5–900Nm at speeds of up to 4,000 rpm. They can accommodate lateral loads of up to 30kN and are connected via keyways (ECV) or clamping hubs (ECW). A stainlesssteel design with uncoated disc springs prevents corrosion and particle generation. For direct-drive applications, the ECWB and ECWD models cover the same torque range for shaft diameters from 8–65mm. The ECWB combines a torque limiter with a metal bellows coupling to compensate for shaft misalignments, while the ECWD has an elastomer coupling, offering vibration damping, zero backlash and easy installation. The ECWB operates in temperatures from –50°C to +150°C, while the ECWD is designed for –30°C to +90°C. The CX-A robots are available in 18 configurations, with payloads of 4kg or 7kg, and arm lengths from 600-900mm. All have the same compact footprint, simplifying integration into production lines. The robots offer expanded motion ranges, reducing unnecessary arm reorientation and collision risks. Their wrists have been redesigned for enhanced robustness and rigidity. Power consumption is lower than Epson’s previous Cseries models, while repeatability and path accuracy have been improved. Battery-less encoders reduce cabling and simplify installation, while the ISO 9409-1 flanges are compatible with common end-effectors. As well as standard IP67 protection, cleanroom and ESD variants are available. The robots are compatible with Epson’s RC800-A controllers and RC+ 8 software, supporting safe robot motion and advanced automation functions. Epson www.epson.eu/robots Ruland has introduced a range of D-bore couplings designed to engage with D-profile shafts to prevent slippage. The aluminium couplings are available in disc, jaw, bellows and Oldham styles, allowing users to choose the type best suited to their application. The lightweight, low-inertia couplings are available in the UK from Acorn Industrial Services in bore sizes from 3–10mm, and in clamp and setscrew hub configurations. D-bore couplings provide a secure mechanical connection by mating directly with the flat on a D-shaft. Unlike setscrew connections that can loosen or slip on small shafts, D-bore couplings engage directly with the shaft to provide secure torque transmission. Traditional setscrew connections can also be difficult to install reliably on smaller shafts where the screw may not seat properly on the Dprofile and may loosen due to vibration or improper installation. The couplings are particularly useful on shafts with diameters under 7mm where standard keyways are unavailable. By eliminating the need for secondary shaft machining, while improving shaft engagement, Dbore couplings simplify assembly and improve reliability.
