Wittenstein has unveiled a global Web site that presents the group’s portfolio, supporting customers in their decision-making. Rather than being a conventional product catalogue or configurator, the site highlights Wittenstein’s expertise and capabilities. It guides users to information and tools relevant to their needs. A new content management system improves performance, flexibility and scalability. There is support for sizing and configuration tools such as CAD-Point and Cadenas. The platform also offers interfaces with cymex select and ServoSoft, enabling more efficient workflows and enhanced technical support. www.wittenstein-group.com/int-en Tool compares standard and Nema Premium motors ABB is offering an online tool that helps users to compare the electrical energy usage, costs and CO2 production of existing motors with those of its Baldor-Reliance SP4 Nema Premium 4 motors. The calculator has two modes: basic and advanced. The first allows users to search motors by catalogue number, while the advanced option has fields for power, efficiency class, speed and enclosure type. Annual savings in energy and monetary terms are provided, as well as energy consumption and CO2 reduction comparisons between existing and new motors. The calculator includes variable-speed motor calculations, and input of multiple motors. Reports with data and graphics can be exported. https://nema-energysave.us.abb.com Roller guides join enhanced linear motion configurator tool Rollon has added roller guides, including its Compact Rail and X-Rail products, to its myRollon online configurator tool, which also has an improved interface and search bar. Users can define product configurations, generate product codes, and request quotations. The developments take a further step to centralising Rollon’s resources and tools. Powered by AI and a database of more than 130,000 product codes, the tool’s search function now recognises references, including partial ones, from six characters, making finding components faster. https://my.rollon.com/uk/en White Paper helps to choose motors and actuators for humanoid robots Allient has released a White Paper examining how actuators enable locomotion, manipulation, balance and interaction in humanoid robots. Called A Selection Guide to Motors for Humanoid Robotics Systems, it also outlines key motor technologies including frameless, slotless, geared and direct-drive types. Performance factors such as torque density and inertia are covered, as well as joint-level selection and humanoid robot trends. https://allient.com/solutions-center/whitepapers/ a-selection-guide-to-motors-for-humanoid-robotics-systems 48 n NEW PRODUCTS n DESIGN DATA AND MULTIMEDIA June 2026 www.drivesncontrols.com Werma has released a Profinet version of its eSign LED signal towers, enabling real-time communications between towers and control systems for immediate display of machine status. The towers are powered via PoE (powerover-Ethernet) with data and energy transmitted on one cable, thus cutting installation and material costs. The Profinet version also offers extended diagnostic options that can detect and localise communications errors between a tower and its control system. www.werma.com The automation distributor RARUK Automation has formed a partnership with the Danish company Nord Modules to offer its top modules for MiR AMRs (autonomous mobile robots), The modules provide extra functions such as lifting mechanisms, roller conveyors, carts and other accessories. They optimise space utilisation and offer modular flexibility, and can be used to transport totes or pallets between conveyors, racks and other pickup/drop-off zones. www.rarukautomation.com Fluke has announced updates to its eMaint CMMS/EAM maintenance platform, transforming it into an AI platform. The AI is built into the flow of everyday maintenance work, helping technicians to increase their efficiency without needing AI expertise. www.fluke.com Web site is not a conventional catalogue or configurator Phoenix Contact has announced a profile and rail cutter designed to cut standard DIN rails and cable ducts to length quickly, precisely and burr-free. Cutting is said to require minimal effort and is easy on the joints. Chip-free cuts ensure that workspaces stay clean, while eliminating the need for rework. The PPS Basic-C I/M cutting tool can cut NS 30/15 rails with C profiles and NLS CU 3/10 neutral busbars, as well as standard NS 35/7,5 and NS 35/15 DIN rails. A 1m-long metric and inch measuring rail with end stops allows the cutting length to be set with millimetre precision. Predrilled screw holes allow secure benchtop mounting. Phoenix Contact www.phoenixcontact.com/en-gb Electromechanical linear actuators can replace hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders Tool cuts busbars and DIN rails cleanly At the recent Hannover Messe 2026, Schaeffler unveiled a pair of compact electromechanical linear actuators designed to replace hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. The oil-free, lowmaintenance Ewellix EMA-50 and EMA-60 actuators are designed for dynamic loads from 1-2 tonnes. The fine graduation of the dynamic loads allows the actuators to be tailored to the performance needs of an application, without overdimensioning. With cross-sections of 50mm (EMA-50) and 65mm (EMA-60), the actuators offer high power densities. Thanks to their use of spur gears with three different ratios, forces and speeds can be adapted to user needs. Using adapters, standard motors can be connected, allowing users to choose their own motors, including resolver systems and brakes. Schaeffler is developing inexpensive toothed belt drives which will allow higher linear speeds at lower gear ratios. Schaeffler 0121 313 5830 www.schaeffler.co.uk/en
