Ideal for those involved with hose assembly or the sale of such products. www.bfpa.co.uk 51 New for 2023 – The BFPA’s Fluid/Pressure Injection Injury Awareness short training course The BFPA, along with its approved training providers, has been campaigning through its course deliveries to raise awareness of the potentially life-changing damage that can be caused by a fluid injection injury. In 2022 the BFPA presented at the British Medical Association Hand Surgeon’s conference in London on this very topic and the warm and enthusiastic reception received means we will continue to build on this working relationship during 2023. The BFPA also plans to reach out to a variety of other trade associations and industries whose employees can fall foul of injection injuries. To enable us to reach as wide and as varied an audience as possible we have developed a short interactive videobased training course which will be available for individuals to access at a time and date to suit themselves. The online course will highlight the dangers of working with all types of media under sometimes a surprisingly low amount of pressure and the importance of reacting quickly when an injury occurs to limit the potential damage that can be caused to the body. Reinforced learning through regular questioning and interactive exercises during the video will help the participant understand the importance of decisive action to prevent or control a hazardous accident.
