As one of the world’s leading trade fairs, it showcases the full range of technologies, products, and solutions that are empowering an All Electric Society (AES). Practice-oriented forums and the world-class electronica Automotive Conference provide indepth insights into the latest research and application trends - from automation with AI to electromobility and smart energy. More than 3,480 exhibitors and over 80,000 visitors from all over the world in 2024 make electronica the most important meeting place and source of inspiration for the international electronics industry. This is where they work together to shape a sustainable and liveable future in the spirit of the All Electric Society. Focus topics at electronica 2026 Empowering the All Electric Society The All Electric Society (AES) describes a vision of the future in which all energy needs are met by CO2-neutral electricity. It is a concept that aims to combat climate change while securing energy supplies. The AES is more than a technological shift. It is a social change that will affect our lives in many ways. In such a future, electric vehicles will dominate the roads, smart grids will optimise energy supply, and artificial intelligence (AI) will increase efficiency. Key points of the All Electric Society: Sustainable energy sources: Energy is to be generated from renewable sources such as solar and wind power. Storage and conversion: Storage power plants and power-to-x technologies will be needed to smooth out fluctuations in energy supply. Reducing the use of fossil fuels: The All Electric Society aims to reduce, and ideally eliminate, the use of fossil fuels. To make this vision a reality, electronica 2026 focuses on the following three key topics: Artificial Intelligence in the electronics industry AI is transforming how electronics are developed, manufactured, and used. At electronica 2026, taking place November 10–13 in Munich, you’ll experience the latest developments and solutions in Edge AI, AIoT, Smart Mobility, and AI hardware— from semiconductors to embedded systems. Resilient Electronics & Cyber Resilience: Trends and Technologies Cyber resilience is becoming a core requirement for networked electronics—driven by growing connectivity, new regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act, and increasing security pressures in the industrial, automotive, and energy sectors. From November 10–13, 2026, at electronica in Munich, see how resilient electronics—from components to systems—is becoming a reality and how the industry is turning this into a strategic competitive advantage. Energy Efficiency in the Electronics Industry: Power Electronics, Trends & Solutions Rising electricity prices, regulatory pressure, and the electrification of industry, mobility, and infrastructure make energy efficiency a central requirement for the electronics industry. Power electronics plays a key role here as a core technology for efficient energy conversion. electronica 2026 is dedicating one of its three main themes to this topic and will showcase the solutions the industry has to offer from November 10–13 in Munich. Since 1964 electronica has represented the entire spectrum of technologies, products and solutions from the entire electronics industry. The fair reflects the rapid technological development in all areas of electronics. https://electronica.de/en/trade-fair/ ‘electronica 2024, copyright - Messe München’ CTX Thermal Solutions at electronica 2026 Secure energy supply from the sun & co.: How thermal management plays its part CTX Thermal Solutions will unveil thermal management solutions for the “All Electric Society” at electronica 2026. The presentation places the focus on cooling solutions that do more than merely increase the efficiency of renewable energy generation. Their increased efficiency also contributes to a secure energy supply thanks to CO2-neutral electricity generation. From November 10 to 13, 2026, CTX Thermal Solutions will be showcasing its heat sink portfolio at its electronica booth B3.237 in Munich. Offering an expansive product portfolio of passive and active cooling solutions, the manufacturer helps to ensure that power electronics function smoothly and with minimal power loss. One of its target industries is the supply of electricity with renewable sources of energy. In the “All Electric Society”, this year’s main topic at electronica, this field of application benefits from thermal management, which draws a large amount of energy from solar radiation and other sources. Heat sinks keep inverter efficiency stable Heat sinks made by CTX are found in countless inverters used in photovoltaic installations. In these systems, they quickly dissipate large amounts of heat generated by technical operation or high ambient temperatures. Heat sinks thus prevent inverters from adjusting their power downwards, which would reduce the efficiency of their voltage conversion. Advantage extrusion: Good heat conduction, economical production Heat sinks frequently used for this application are profile heat sinks, which CTX extrudes from aluminum. In this process, the metal, after being heated to around 500 °C, is pressed through a die that shapes the heat sink profile. The individual heat sinks are then cut off from the resulting strand, measuring several meters in length. The process offers advantages for the application and its economic implementation alike. The applied extrusion creates exceedingly uniform and precise fins, exerting a positive effect on heat conduction. As a shaping process, extrusion makes this
