47 www.drivesncontrols.com October 2026 NEW PRODUCTS n A new image-based code reader from Sick helps to identify 1D and 2D codes reliably in logistics and industrial environments. The sensingCam SEC200 reader combines reliable identification, robust construction and userfriendly guidance, with visual and acoustic feedback to simplify configuration and to speed up commissioning. The 1.3-megapixel camera module captures 1D and 2D codes at distances of 100– 300mm, regardless of alignment or rotation. LED and acoustic signals indicate when a code has been read. This is useful at manual picking stations or assembly steps, where simple handling reduces training time and helps to deliver consistent scan results. An IP65-protected housing protects the device against dust, water spray and mechanical stress. A built-in Web server allow users to configure the code reader in a browser, without needing any extra software. Ethernet and USB connections make it easy to integrate into existing automation and IT environments. A cloning function allows settings to be copied to other devices. Sick www.sick.com Phoenix Contact has enhanced the communications capabilities of its Caparoc circuit-breakers by offering OT and IT connectivity which makes operating and diagnostic data from the modules available to higherlevel systems. The application is based on Phoenix’s PLCnext technology and needs no expertise to install and configure. The IIoT framework transmits data from the modules via standardised interfaces such as Rest API, OPC UA or MQTT. It allows information from the 24V DC supply to be integrated into Scada systems, cloud applications or custom IoT platforms. Users are informed about the status of their systems at all times. In addition to the status of individual channels, parameters such as currents, warning messages and diagnostic data can be monitored centrally, helping to avoid unplanned downtime. The Caparoc IIoT framework serves as an easy-to-use OT and IT gateway between the field level and information systems. Its open data capability forms the basis for condition monitoring, remote monitoring, and data-driven maintenance functions. Explosion-proof screwjacks are needed for lifting, positioning and actuating safely in environments where potentially flammable liquids, gases, vapours, dust or other substances could ignite and/or explode. The new screwjacks restrict the amount of energy available if a fault occurs to prevent arcs or sparks from igniting explosive or flammable substances. The Atex screwjacks are available initially for use in Zone 1 (gas/vapour) to Zone 22 (combustible gas). Power Jacks engineers assess each application and optimise the screwjack designs to provide the safest and most reliable version. The screwjacks can be supplied in electromechanical or mechanical versions, along with Atex-certified accessories such as motors, gearboxes and feedback devices. They are also available in stainless-steel versions offering high corrosion resistance for extreme environments, including submersible designs. Power Jacks www.powerjacks.com Emerson has developed a compact high-flow valve system that allows OEMs and machinebuilders to achieve greater airflow capacities without moving to larger valve systems. The XV05 High Flow variant is an extension of the Aventics XV platform with the same architecture, electrical connection options, communications protocols and modularity, but a flow capacity of up to 1,200 litres/min, compared to 1,000 for the standard XV05 Larger ports and dedicated high-flow fittings deliver the increased airflow where needed, while compatibility with the standard XV05 means High Flow and standard modules can be combined in one valve system. It is available in front-, top-, and bottom-ported versions, giving designers the flexibility to integrate higher airflow capacities into new and existing machine layouts without redesigning the wider pneumatic architecture. Emerson https://discreteautomation.em erson.com/product/aventics-xv Elmo Motion Control says it has achieved functional safety certification for its Titanium servodrives, allowing machine-builders to create smaller, smarter, safer and higher-performing machines. The certification covers servodrives for both industrial and harsh-environment applications. The certified architecture includes 20 safety functions and supports safety levels up to SIL 3 (EN 61508), PL e, Cat4 (EN ISO 13849) and FSoE (IEC 61784-3), addressing the stringent safety requirements of advanced industrial machinery and motion applications. www.elmomc.com Kendrion has integrated a SIL 3 / PL e-certified STO (safe torque off) function into a modular DIN-railmounting drives. The FIO Drive Control STO is a 25mmwide four-quadrant servodrive for stepper and BLDC motors that allows safe torque shutdown without an extra STO module. In the event of a safety trigger, the output power is cut off safely within a few milliseconds via two independent channels. EtherCat communications and logic power remain operational, maintaining position and communications. After the safety circuit is released, the drive can restart immediately, cutting downtime. www.kendrion.com/en ARC Informatique has released a new version of its PcVue Scada/BMS PcVue platform, addressing issues such as energy efficiency, operational performance and cybersecurity. By centralising data from multiple sources, PcVue 17 optimises energy demand in industrial processes and buildings, avoiding consumption peaks and cutting costs. The software also introduces intelligent assistance to help configure workflows and orchestrate complex processes through low-code interfaces. By combining AI processing with real-time data analysis, it can automate routine tasks and accelerate decision-making. www.pcvue.com Compact high-flow valve system avoids need for larger systems Atex-certified screwjacks provide linear motion in explosive zones IIoT framework delivers circuitbreaker data to higher-level systems
