A s Chair of the IPlantE Professional Sector, one of five professional sectors at SOE, I am delighted that the return of the Plant & Asset Management Show will give us another great opportunity to connect with all those involved in plant and asset management. IPlantE is committed to providing the best possible support and guidance for our members, at every stage of their career. Our members come from the broad spectrum of plant engineering, including the fields of oil and gas extraction, facilities management, power generation, minerals processing, to name a few. They all benefit from SOE membership through our promotion of best practice and registration with the Engineering Council and Society for the Environment. At this show, we will be giving advice on how to apply to the Engineering Council for EngTech, IEng and CEng registration and how it can give you and your organisation a competitive advantage. Plant and asset management continues to see rapid change. It is even more important that plant engineers have and maintain the skills and knowledge required for ensuring large complex systems and machinery operation is at ever higher levels of safety, efficiency, sustainably and ethical standards. So, it is with Engineering Council registration, accreditations, CPD events and webinars that SOE aims to benefit society, by the continued professional development of those engaged in plant engineering. We are working with companies, academic institutions, government, and partner organisations to promote the sector to a new generation of engineering professionals. The Plant & Asset Management Show is a wonderful opportunity to highlight these aims and support this ever- changing part of engineering.
