Since joining in January, Andy has already made a strong impact thanks to his technical expertise and customerfocused approach. With a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and experience in automation and HMI systems, Andy brings fresh energy and a robust technical background to the business. His previous roles include positions at Air Automation, Reflex Labels, and Cursor Controls, where he worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer. He will continue in his current roles as President of Business Unit Pumping Systems and Managing Director of Framo. Martijn joined Alfa Laval in 1998 and has held several senior leadership positions, primarily within the Marine Division. In his new role, he will also join Group Management. “Martijn has had a long and successful career in Alfa Laval and brings deep industry knowledge,” said Tom Erixon, CEO and President of Alfa Laval. The Marine Division accounted for 40% of Alfa Laval’s order intake in 2024 and employs 6,300 people. Its focus areas include energy efficiency, decarbonisation, digitalisation, and environmental compliance. “I’m honoured to lead the Marine Division and look forward to driving progress as we support our customers through the energy transition,” said Martijn Bergink. The appointment follows the planned retirement of Sameer Kalra, who has led the division since 2011.
