Modular aluminium piping systems for efficient compressed air distribution ADVERTORIAL www.hpmag.co.uk HYDRAULICS & PNEUMATICS April/May 2025 33 TESEO was the first company to introduce a new approach to compressed air distribution by developing environmentally sustainable aluminium systems that are 100% recyclable and 100% reusable. Designed with circular economy principles in mind, these systems are fully reconfigurable without waste. The design combines the smooth internal passage typical of a highperformance pipeline with the strength of a structural profile. These features support fast, precise, and durable installation, including in complex settings, and do not require specialist or high-cost tools, unlike many other piping systems. The result is reduced installation time, lower operational costs, and reliable delivery of clean, efficient compressed air. All its products are still developed and manufactured in Italy, allowing the company to maintain consistent quality and service. This approach contributes to its position within the fluid distribution sector. The aluminium piping range includes the HBS system, recognised as the first modular aluminium piping system with structural properties. It is protected by a renewed patent and meets current energy efficiency standards. The APS system offers a simplified external profile to support easier installation, while the MPS system is suitable for mineral or synthetic oils and for operating pressures up to 25 bar. TESEO systems are compatible with each other and with some third-party components. One of the distinguishing features of TESEO systems is the modularity of the components. These can be disassembled and reassembled more easily than comparable systems made from iron or aluminium, including those developed later with similar design elements. TESEO systems can also be expanded under pressure without producing waste, which may contribute to reduced downtime and operational cost savings. The external shape of the piping adds structural functionality. It simplifies both initial installation and future modifications and allows for certain applications that may not be achievable with traditional round piping—both in terms of design and efficiency. TESEO’s systems have been in use for nearly four decades and reflect a continued focus on technical reliability, functionality, and cost-efficiency. Its systems are used across a wide range of sectors, including automotive, aerospace, jewellery, furniture, packaging, pharmaceuticals, electronics, fashion and textiles, precision mechanics, food production, and pet food, among others. The company also offers an ergonomics range designed to support safer and more efficient work processes. These products are compatible with its piping and are designed to reduce operator fatigue. The AMS range of aluminium manifolds is suitable for use with gases and fluids in applications such as automatic machinery and mould cooling. The DCS drop column systems include drop manifolds that can be installed at any time. These are designed according to client specifications and are supplied preassembled. The ATS system includes a rail with a movable trolley that provides outlets for compressed air and/or electricity, along with tool hangers. This allows operators access to energy along the length of the rail. SAB swivel arm brackets support tools within a circular or semicircular working range, which may be useful for covering larger work areas. All components are modular and compatible with the main system. The MTS – Modular Trolley System consists of a configurable trolley that travels along the HBS 50 pipe, which functions as both a structural rail and an air conduit. The trolley can supply pneumatic tools, deliver electricity, and support devices such as monitors or adjustable work surfaces through integrated data cables. For workbench-based assembly operations using pneumatic or electric tools, the WBA range includes height-adjustable benches that are internally pressurised and can be tailored to specific operational requirements. The company says all its products comply with the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 2014/68/EU) and have undergone various international testing and certification processes, allowing for export and use in a range of industrial environments. In addition to its technical focus, the company provides design services for complete plant layouts and production lines, supporting correct sizing, routing efficiency, and cost control. Technical support and training are available, including on-site sessions when needed. With a dedicated internal warehouse, it is also able to dispatch urgent orders within 24 hours.
