HYDRAULICS R+L Hydraulics GmbH has introduced the KPV series of cooler bellhousings, designed to offer high cooling performance and withstand high pressure peaks up to 16 bar over the long term. These cooler bellhousings, available in various designs, comply with VDMA 24 561 standards. Cooler bellhousings serve as damping connecting elements between electric motors and hydraulic pumps, in combination with an oil-air cooler. They are widely used in the oil hydraulics sector. R+L Hydraulics, a company specialising in hydraulic components and power transmission products, emphasises the compact design and durability of the KPV series. “Our top priority in developing this series was to integrate a cooling element that withstands dynamic pressure loads without losing cooling power,” states Patrick Laupitz, head of the domestic sales team at R+L Hydraulics. Laupitz adds that the prismatic cooling elements in the KPV series can continually withstand pressure peaks up to 16 bar, as demonstrated through dynamic fatigue strain tests. The prismatic cooling elements in the KPV series offer superior cooling performance. According to Laupitz, “R+L Hydraulics was the first manufacturer to equip catalogue cooler bellhousings with prismatic standard cooling elements.” He explains that previous cooler bellhousings typically used finned tubes as heat exchangers, which provided limited cooling power and were mainly used for leakage oil cooling. The modern prismatic cooling elements now allow for installation into the mainly pressureless return line. However, pressure peaks can still occur in certain configurations, often undetectable with conventional pressure measuring devices. Laupitz notes that these pressure peaks, which used to cause occasional breakdowns of heat exchangers, are now effectively managed in the KPV series. The KPV series cooler bellhousings are available for motor sizes from 80 to 180, featuring noise-damping versions that can be combined with foot brackets. Laupitz highlights the full interchangeability of the installation dimensions according to VDMA 24 561, covering both the installation length and the attachment position of the foot bracket. In addition to cooler bellhousings, R+L Hydraulics develops, manufactures, and sells a variety of components for fluid and power transmission products. These include industrial couplings, hydraulic accessories such as torsional and jaw couplings, bellhousings, damping elements, heat exchangers, coolers, and hydraulic tanks. Their products are utilised in various industries, including mechanical engineering, ship and vehicle construction, the steel industry, offshore technology, and specialised plant engineering applications. The programme brings hydraulic hose replacement and repair capabilities directly to construction, oil and gas, mining, and other sites where hydraulic equipment operates, minimising operational disruptions. Danfoss on-site hose assembly workshops are fully equipped mobile containers stocked with the specific Danfoss hoses, fittings, and tooling to suit the needs of the work site. The workshops enable on-the-spot hose assembly creation and repair 24 hours a day, seven days a week, minimising equipment downtime and associated costs. Hose assembly workshops are ideal for sites where timely access to replacement and repair is critical. A hose malfunction at a remote location, for example, may require long-distance travel or equipment transportation, or an extended wait for a shipment to arrive. With an on-site workshop, staff can quickly and conveniently repair or replace hose assemblies with the exact hose and fitting types in use at the site. Okan Cebeci, EMEA product manager, Rubber Hydraulic Hose and Fittings, Danfoss Power Solutions commented: “Unforeseen equipment breakdowns and maintenance issues can lead to costly downtime. Locating a service provider, ordering a replacement, waiting for the shipment, then installing a new hose assembly can cost millions in lost revenue, depending on the equipment and the site.” He added: “Our mobile workshops provide businesses with immediate, cost-effective access to hose repairs and replacements with highquality, reliable Danfoss components, helping to sustain normal operations.” The customisable configurations of Danfoss on-site hose assembly workshops enable workspace optimisation for maximum productivity. Machines can be selected and arranged within the container according to specific hose requirements and production needs. Mobile workshop programme brings hydraulic hose replacement and repair capabilities directly to worksites Tooling options encompass crimp machines with their respective die sets, cutting machines, and skiving machines equipped with both internal and external skiving tools. Storage options consist of hose reels, shelves, and fitting cabinets featuring ergonomic drawers. An electric control panel streamlines simultaneous operation of multiple machines.
