NEWS As the sun shone over Northamptonshire, the team at Aircare Compressor Services Ltd held a special event to celebrate 30 years in the compressed air and vacuum industry. The open event, held on 2 June, also gave many customers, suppliers and team members the chance to bid a fond farewell to company founder and chairman, Brian Bennett, as well as long- term senior engineer, Willie Bourn. Well-known suppliers within the compressed air and vacuum industry such as Compair, Hydrovane, Elmo Rietschle, Pneumax and Prevost gave their time to attend the event. The British Compressed Air Society was also on hand, along with Aircare’s fluid power partners, OMC and Hydroscand. Emotional presentation An emotional presentation took place at 11am to honour Brian Bennett’s 30 years of service and Willie Bourn’s retirement and 30th Birthday gifts were given out to all Aircare team members, to say a huge ‘Thank you’ for their service. The event was also an excellent opportunity to unveil the newly refurbished offices and trade counter. Throughout the morning, visitors enjoyed speaking to the leading experts in the industry and everyone went home with a free gift and a full belly. Managing director, Wendy Hayward comments: ‘The morning was a huge success and the whole team are still buzzing. As we say goodbye to chairman (and my dad), Brian, it’s time for us to forge ahead. Our customers will continue to receive the very best service, our team will carry on growing and we will steadily expand our best-in-class product range. Our customers can always rely on the knowledge and experience of our honest and trusted team of professionals, quality of service runs throughout the company and will continue to do so, hopefully for another 30 years.” Aircare Compressor Services Ltd marks 30 years in business and the retirement of founder and chairman 6 HYDRAULICS & PNEUMATICS July/August 2021 www.hpmag.co.uk Derby-based Bobcat dealer, Butler Reynolds Ltd, has announced that the winner of the company’s charity raffle for a Bobcat E10z 1 tonne mini- excavator is Chris O’Hara of Trent Bridge Construction Ltd in Nottingham. At the draw, Butler Reynolds also confirmed the company beat its target of raising £20,000 for the beneficiary charity, When You Wish Upon a Star, also based in Nottingham, and thanked everybody who took part in the raffle. Support With a very successful civil engineering and construction business based in Nottingham, O’Hara has been trading in the Midlands area for over 25 years. After hearing about the Butler Reynolds raffle and the When You Wish Upon a Star charity involved, O’Hara quickly made contact with Nigel Long, one of the directors at Butler Reynolds to purchase some tickets and to help to support them. He comments: “It’s really good timing that I have won this as I have quite a lot of work coming up for this machine.” O’Hara has used Bobcat mini- excavators for at least 20 years. He adds: “I feel great to be the lucky winner – I have always found the Bobcat products to be a great asset to my business.” O’Hara very generously stated that he would like to add another £1000 to the charity fund.
