For Enertechnos, this was an important step towards commercialising its CTS technology. “Setting it up was relatively easy and straightforward,” says the company’s head of marketing, Isobel Arrowsmith. “The versatility of the VSD enabled us to devise more appropriate operational scenarios to meet the NZTC milestones.” The project highlighted that: n choosing a versatile drive system early in project simplifies testing and reduces integration risks; n supplier collaboration is as critical as the hardware itself; and n compatibility with third-party equipment cuts costs and expands operational possibilities. The NZTC project has demonstrated that Enertechnos’ CTS cable delivers on its promise of lower-loss power transmission. The Veichi drive provided the control and precision needed to prove this.
