The modular Lifeview PDA III instrument allows permanent online condition monitoring and diagnostics of machines. It gives operators control and flexibility without needing on-site inspections. The analyser is housed in an IP66-rated aluminium enclosure, protecting it against dust, moisture and mechanical stresses, as well as meeting IEC 61010-1 safety standards. The modular internal architecture simplifies installation and improves accessibility for maintenance and upgrades. An LCD shows real-time machine health data, trends and alarms. At the heart of the system is software that performs partial discharge, shaft voltage and magnetic flux measurements. Working with Quartzteq’s DAQ card, which provides ninechannel measurement with 16bit analogue-to-digital conversion, the software processes, visualises and interprets high-resolution data captured via a fast Ethernet connection. The system offers advanced analysis tools, visual dashboards and secure access to real-time and historical data, both locally and remotely. Connections include Ethernet (RJ-45), USB, optional Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11) and Modbus TCP/IP. The VHV5 inline verifier performs real-time verification of Code 128, Data Matrix, QR Codes and DPM marks at speeds of up to 1,000 codes per minute, ensuring that every code is readable, compliant and traceable. The VHV5 complies with ISO/IEC 15416 for 1D barcode print quality, ISO/IEC 15415 for 2D symbol grading, and ISO/IEC TR 29158 (AIM DPM) for codes marked directly on parts using laser, dot peen or inkjet processes. It delivers consistent, repeatable grading results across labels, packaging and permanently marked components. Tilted coaxial lighting improves accuracy on reflective, curved and low-contrast surfaces by reducing glare and enhancing edge definition. It is particularly effective for DPM codes on metal parts, glossy labels and curved plastic packaging. To maintain grading accuracy in installations that are space-constrained or have challenging viewing angles, an unwarp transformation corrects image distortion caused by curved or angled surfaces. Flat field correction further ensures uniform illumination and pixel response across the field-ofview, preventing lighting artefacts from affecting results. Omron https://industrial.omron.co.uk/ en/products/ vhv5-inline-verifier CP Automation is offering a series of liquid-cooled asynchronous servomotors that remove heat directly from critical internal components, resulting in reliable performance in demanding applications, reducing the risk of overheating at low speeds, and enabling smaller machine designs. The coolant flows through the motor’s stator windings rather than only around its housing. This enables high torque outputs at low speeds, while maintaining low current consumption for improved efficiency. The low noise and vibration Vascat MAC QW motors are available in ratings from 40– 675kW and frame sizes from 225–315mm. They are suitable for demanding applications such as converting and printing machines, and plastics and rubber processing, where precise speed control, high torque and reliable operation are essential. CP Automation www.cpaltd.net Datalogic claims that a new range of ultra-high-resolution 2D barcode readers are the only ones of their type that can cover conveyor belts up to 1m wide with a single reader. It says that the Matrix 830/930 series readers set a new benchmark for performance, efficiency and system costs, redefining how large-area conveyor scanning is achieved. With their 28-megapixel, 8,000pixel-wide sensors, the readers can capture large-area flows without needing multiple cameras, folding mirrors or added complexity. This allows operators to reduce system complexity, installation times and maintenance costs. The readers are compatible with Datalogic’s Smart Vision Suite for Logistics. The scanners can handle conveyor speeds up to 3.5m/s, accurately capturing multiple items even in dense flows. The combination of ultra-high resolution and patented focus technologies is said to ensure high read rates and operational robustness.
