47 www.drivesncontrols.com March 2026 NEW PRODUCTS n Emis is offering three-phase inductors designed to be installed at the output of a VSD or inverter to limit the rate of voltage rise (dv/dt) generated by PWM switching, thus reducing voltage stresses and protecting motor insulation. The TPQDR3914 dv/dt reactors help prevent premature motor failures and nuisance power tripping, as well as mitigating EMI and reducing reflected wave effects in long motor cables. Designed for 0.8% impedance, the reactors provide protection while resulting in low voltage drops and power losses. They will operate with high-frequency PWM drives with current ratings from 4–500A. They reduce motor insulation stresses, bearing currents, and the risk of premature motor failures. With pumps, the smooth voltage transients from the reactors prevent insulation and bearing damage. With VSDdriven fans and blowers, the reactors can reduce motor voltage spikes and acoustic noise. They can also protect conveyor motors from insulation stress during frequent starts/stops and rapid speed changes. It provides time-based and volume-level indications, as well as simple alerts. The LED light towers also include the 70mm XVB7 made from premium materials, while the 60mm XV6 and 40mm XV4 offer cost-effective alternatives. A modular design allows users to configure their towers as well as simplifying maintenance and reducing the need for spare parts. The LED lights offer high visibility, low power consumption and operating lives of up to 50,000 hours. There are multiple mounting and wiring options, including pushin terminals, and IO-Link/USB options on some models. The coaxial PFII gearboxes have hollow input and output shafts. The output shaft is in line with the motor shaft and does not experience radial or axial loads. The boxes come in three frame sizes, with gear ratios from 3:1 to 1000:1. Rated torques are up to 232Nm, and backlash is down to six arc-minutes. The boxes have hardened planetary gears, combining high torque and precision with low noise and high speeds. The adapter housings are made from aluminium to reduce weight without compromising performance. The internal gearing is made from an alloy steel offering high torque and rigidity. A radial clamping ring is used for both input and output shafts. The one on the output side equipped with two radial bolts to handle high torque levels. This allows easy assembly and maintenance, and is suitable for dynamic applications. The PFII enables shaft-to-shaft connections between two rotating shafts. Customised adapters are available for shaft actuators, while Apex can also supply suitable couplings. Apex Dynamics UK www.apexdynauk.com ifm has launched a series of multicode readers that provide reliable identification in confined spaces, without sacrificing speed or accuracy. The O2I2 readers can process up to 50 codes and 60 images per second, and can detect objects moving at speeds of up to 3m/s. Deep-learning-based AI algorithms provide robustness against faults and code defects, allowing the readers to operate even when codes are damaged or difficult to read. The algorithms allow high positioning accuracy and use automatic image adjustment and pre-processing to enhance decoding efficiency. A PC tool is available to help users configure the devices quickly. Potential applications include tracking items on production lines, order picking in logistics centres, position mark detection in AGV systems, and tracing semiconductor components. The devices have Ethernet and RS-232 interfaces. ifm electronic 0208 213 0000 www.ifm.com/gb/en Modular tower lights futureproof industrial signalling systems Faulhaber has expanded its GPT gearhead family with two highperformance models for applications where noise reduction is crucial. The 22GPT LN and 32GPT LN gearheads combine high torques with a compact design and reliability. They deliver up to 2.2Nm and 8Nm in intermittent operation and can manage occasional random peak torques of up to 4Nm and 12Nm. Compared to standard versions, the low-noise gearheads can reduce noise levels by up to 10dB. www.faulhaber.com Planetary gearboxes balance precision, power and simplicity Code readers operate accurately in tight spaces
