55 www.drivesncontrols.com September 2025 NEW PRODUCTS n Delta Electronics has launched a pair of touch-panel HMIs designed to act as gateways to the IIoT, and combining data acquisition from equipment with secure transmission to the cloud. The 7” and 10” DOP-300S TFT LCDs are powered by dual-core ARM CPUs and support the MQTT and OPC UA protocols. With built-in 4G antennas and optional wireless communication modules, the HMIs do not need extra hardware, easing deployment and limiting costs. Dual Ethernet ports allow internal control networks to be separated from external or enterprise networks, reducing cybersecurity risks. The HMIs consolidate equipment data and upload it to DIACloud – a secure platform that allows devices to communicate as if they are on the same local network. A PC tool called DIAWebDesigner can be used to develop customised dashboards, which can then be deployed to DIACloud. They allow remote monitoring and data visualisation support for smart manufacturing and secure IIoT ecosystems. The tools enable real-time remote monitoring and troubleshooting, helping to cut downtime, and reducing the need for site visits. Delta Electronics EMEA www.delta-emea.com ifm has unveiled a machine lighting system that combines illumination and status visualisation in one package. The DV301x system exceeds the requirements of the Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC. Each 250mm-long module generates 450 lumens of light. Up to four modules can be linked for customised installations. The system combines bright white lighting for machine area illumination with RGB LEDs for status signalling, and is said to have one of the lowest energy consumption rates in its class. The modules have a robust, chemical-resistant housing. Smooth hygienic surfaces allow its use in applications such as food processing. There is a choice of mounting options including screws, magnets and clamps. Control is via four 24V DC channels and IO-Link is built in, enabling commands and monitoring for intelligent process management. By reducing energy consumption and extending service lives, ifm says the modules will help organisations to reduce their carbon footprints. ifm 0208 213 0000 www.ifm.com/gb/en Touch-panel HMIs act as gateways to the IIoT and the cloud Phoenix Contact has announced a series of pluggable terminal blocks with Push-X connectors and Combi plug-in zones that, it says, set new standards for wiring technology. The combination simplifies wiring in control cabinets by connecting the field level with preassembled Combi connectors. The XT 2,5.../P terminal blocks have a 2.5mm2 cross-section and can accept conductors from 0.5–4mm2. Flexible conductors without ferrules can be connected particularly quickly, using the tool-free connection technology that needs almost no force. Visual and haptic feedback from the terminals simplifies connections, and reduces errors. The terminal blocks can handle currents up to 24A and voltages up to 800V. Their locking mechanism allows conductors be released quickly. The configurable and standard Combi connectors have up to 15 positions for flexible cabinet building with simple, fast and reliable wiring, and fewer errors. Phoenix Contact 01952 681700 www.phoenixcontact.co.uk MCP has announced a highperformance rack-andpinion linear actuator with a repeatable positioning accuracy of ±0.02mm and speeds of up to 2.2m/s. Available in two models (the LRP170 and LRP220) the actuators offer a balance between high-speed operation and precision motion control. Developed as an alternative to belt- and ballscrew-driven systems, the actuators achieve faster travel speeds and longer strokes than most ballscrew types, and higher accuracies than belt drives. The maximum standard stroke of 5.5m can be extended using joints. The maximum load is 300kg horizontally and 80kg vertically. A stable mechanical structure that includes a coupling, gearbox and flange, ensures smooth power transmission and low backlash, even in highthroughput environments. They now support more applications. The new 80M model handles high-speed, lowtorque applications. It spans a power range of 2.2–18.5kW and delivers up to 10,000Nm of torque, while being up to 72% lighter than a bevel-helical drive. The 80D variant for mid-to-large belt conveyors offers external IEC motor compatibility, while the enclosed 80MD model is designed for fixed belt conveyors in harsh environments, with drum diameters from 320–800mm and widths from 500–1400mm. A new winch version (80W) has heavyduty bearings and optional failsafe braking, and spans ratings from 0.12–75kW and torque outputs to 42kNm. www.technidrive.co.uk Kollmorgen has enhanced its AKM and AKM2G servomotors with a high-resolution encoder option that provides absolute multi-turn feedback, but costs the same as existing single-turn variants. The Kollmorgen SFD-M encoder option achieves four times greater positioning accuracy than previous designs. The battery-free encoder tracks and maintains the position register even when power is off. The absolute encoder measures angular position per revolution with a 24-bit resolution, with 16,777,216 counts per revolution. Accuracy is ±1 arc-min. The servomotors are available from Inmoco. www.inmoco.co.uk
