46 n NEW PRODUCTS June 2025 www.drivesncontrols.com Mitsubishi Electric has released version 11 of its flagship Genesis data visualisation and process control software. The new version eliminates tag count limitations and adds a built-in industrial historian, eliminating the need for separate datalogging systems, and transforming how manufacturers capture and analyse data. Unlimited licensing removes restrictions on tags and client connections, ending traditional pricing constraints, and allowing manufacturers to expand their automation systems without extra fees. With lower upfront costs, the platform is more accessible and budget-friendly. The built-in historian collects, analyses and visualises real-time and historical data, allowing users to optimise performance, implement predictive maintenance, and make data-driven decisions. The GraphWorX visualisation suite in the new version enhances real-time monitoring and control with 3D system monitoring, providing better situational awareness and allowing engineers to identify and resolve performance issues more efficiently. Treemap control simplifies the detection of system anomalies, allowing faster troubleshooting, while Web-based access ensures secure remote monitoring. Built on the .Net 8 architecture, version 11 integrates with Mitsubishi PLCs, HMIs, robots and inverters, and supports third-party systems via OPC UA, BACnet/SC, Modbus, MQTT, and expanded API capabilities. Mitsubishi Electric https://emea.mitsubishielectric. com/fa/lp/genesis-version-11 Festo has introduced a family of stepper motors that can be used with its CMMT-ST servodrive controller to create a coordinated servo system at an attractive price. The family includes models for regular and advanced industrial automation applications. The EMMB-ST range is the basic series, suitable for series machine manufacturers and applications in electronics and small parts handling. It uses a One Cable Plug (OCP) connection system that saves space and enables front or rear alignments. The motors are protected to IP20 (shaft IP40). The premium EMMT-ST motors are designed for applications needing higher IP ratings and improved connectivity. They are protected to IP65 (shaft IP40) and have UL certification. They use OCP cables with solid M17 plugs that can be rotated through 310 degrees. The compatible CMMT-ST controller supports multiple fieldbus protocols as well as Safe Torque Off and Safe Stop 1 functions. It offers an energy management function that can make positioning systems more sustainable. It is 27mm wide and uses a 24V or 48V DC power supply. Festo is offering a starter kit containing a CMMT-ST controller, an EMMT-ST stepper motor, and matching motor/encoder cables with OCP technology. Festo www.festo.com/gb Plus Automation has announced a series of Contrinex smart photoelectric sensors in Basic, Digital or Analogue versions. They are available in cubic C23 and cylindrical M18 formats and offer a detection range from 5mm to 1.2m. The programmable sensors have digital measurement and switching capabilities and are fully programmable. Their robust stainless-steel housings provide IP68/IP69K protection. The sensors integrate multiple sensing modes, giving designers freedom and flexibility. They include IO-Link serial interfaces, or allow highspeed, sensor-based decisionmaking using SIO (Sensor Input or Output). There is a tripleteach mode and two output channels. The field-attachable 813 (T-coded with four poles) and 823 (L-coded with four poles or 4+FE) connectors, have operating lives of more than 100 mating cycles. The 813 series has a rated voltage of 63V and a rated current of 12A, while the 823 series is designed for currents of up to 16A at 63V. Both are designed for 6-13mm diameter cables. www.binder-connector.co.uk maxon has added CANopen communications to its Escon2 speed and current controller, expanding its integration flexibility and speed control performance, and adding real-time control improvements as well as upgraded control algorithms. The update, available as a firmware upgrade, applies to controllers already in use as well as new products. The controller works with DC and brushless DC motors. www.maxongroup.co.uk Mayr Power Transmission has developed a weight-optimised aluminium version of its Roba DS steel disk pack coupling with the same performance density. Compared to the steel version, the outer diameter has been reduced by up to 10mm. The mass and mass inertia range is 40–60% of the steel version, depending on the design and size. www.mayr.com The German machine vision specialist SVS-Vistek is offering a cost-effective alternative to multicamera systems for reading barcodes on wide conveyor belts, operating at high speeds. The 16.4megapixel fxo901CXGE 10GigE colour camera captures targets in a wide field-of-view while maintaining resolutions as high as 8016 x 2048 pixels at 73 frames/s. A 4:1 horizontal aspect ratio allows one device to replace a multicamera system, thus cutting costs, increasing throughput, and simplifying operations. www.svs-vistek.com
