55 www.drivesncontrols.com May 2025 NEW PRODUCTS n Mitsubishi has released a pair of high-speed safety I/O modules designed to cut the cost of safety in industrial automation installations. The RX40NC6S-TS and RY48PT20S-TS modules connect directly to Melsec iQ-R PLC buses, ensuring fast response times and increasing cost-e„ectiveness and productivity compared to Safety-over-Ethernet systems, according to Mitsubishi. There are 16 inputs on the RX40NC6S-TS, and eight outputs on the RY48PT20S-TS module, with a maximum load of 2A per output, up to a combined total of 16A. This module eliminates the need for additional safety relays, cutting costs and optimising cabinet space. Mitsubishi Electric https://emea.mitsubishielectric. com/fa SEW-Eurodrive has expanded its planetary unit portfolio with the P2.e series for heavy-duty applications. The gearboxes are smaller than helical and helicalbevel gearboxes of a similar rating and, compared to earlier the P series, are 24% lighter, 10% shorter and have 6% smaller diameters. An optional fan can give the gearboxes an enhanced thermal rating compared to other planetary gears. The fan draws in air radially, accelerates it, and generates a cooling stream of air with a high flow rate. The higher thermal rating means more power can be transmitted continuously through the drive without overheating. Maintenance is reduced through the use of fatigueproof gearing and larger bearings which lengthen service lives. There are four output shaft options. SEW-Eurodrive 01924 893 855 www.sew-eurodrive.co.uk/ home Leuze has announced a series of photoelectric sensors with stainless-steel housings, suitable for hygienic and industrial cleaning processes. The 33C and 35C sensors, available in di„use, through-beam and retrore‘ective versions, use a Power PinPoint LED technology for quick, precise alignment using a bright light spot whose size, shape and homogeneity stay constant throughout the working range. Thanks to smooth housings with no mounting holes, the Series 33C sensors are suitable for food, beverage or pharmaceutical applications. The 35C series are designed for robustness, and are suitable for high mechanical loads and intensive cleaning processes. The sensors include special versions for packaging processes, including retrore‘ective devices for glass and PET detection, sensors with background suppression for detecting small objects, dynamic reference sensors, and powerful through-beam sensors that can penetrate plastic —lms. The sensors have IO-Link interfaces for quick and easy con—guration as well as capturing diagnostic data. The Moons MSD modular integrated drive wheel combines a motor, gearbox and drive wheels, with a brake option, if required. There are rotating and lifting versions, as well as dedicated motion controllers that are said to be easy to set up. The quiet, compact motors deliver up to 50Nm of torque with a surface speed of 2.8m/s. They are smooth running with elastic suspension. They support CANopen, EtherCat and RS-485 Modbus communications. The 150-200mm diameter drive wheels have built-in servomotors and gearboxes. They operate from 24-60V DC supplies and have built-in 16-bit encoders. The company says there is a growing demand for connectors o„ering this ‘exibility. The connectors are suitable for industrial communications, and allow reliable signal and data transmission in machines and systems. In factory automation applications, they can help to ensure secure data transmission and logging. They can be used to link communication controllers, sensors and actuators in applications such as conveyors.
