The show will take place at the NEC Birmingham from 24–26 September. “The UK’s most prominent exhibition for processing equipment, packaging machinery, industrial automation and machine vision”, is expected to attract more than 8,000 visitors looking to streamline their packaging and automation processes. Automate UK, the show’s organiser, recently unveiled several innovations including a free show app, a live demonstration theatre, and Innovation Tours. “The 2024 PPMA Show promises to be our most exciting exhibition yet,” says Automate UK COO, Scott McKenna. “The team has been truly inspired this year. The sheer volume and quality of the show innovations that have been introduced are very impressive. These new features will greatly improve the show experience for everyone.” The broadcaster, entrepreneur and writer, Gregg Wallace, will be spending a day at the PPMA Show as he goes ‘Inside the Exhibition’, interviewing some of the exhibitors. Recordings of these meetings will be available after the show. The PPMA Show was established more than 35 years ago. Visitors can discover innovative technologies that inspire them to improve the performance of their businesses. The event also highlights the important role that processing equipment, packaging machinery, industrial automation and machine vision systems can play in the growth of companies across many sectors. The 2024 PPMA Show provides a platform for visitors to see the next generation of products, services and technologies. There is something for everyone, from the cuttingedge technologies from more than 350 exhibitors – including more than 100 companies that are new to the show – to hours of free expert talks, and opportunities to network. This year’s exhibitors include AMP Automation, Apex Dynamics, Balluff, Beckhoff, Bernstein, Elesa, Endoline, Fortress Technology, Hayley Group, HepcoMotion, Idem Safety, IKO Nippon Thomson, Interroll, Lafert Electric Motors, Lamonde Automation, Minebea Intec, Newtech Intelligent Automation, Omron Electronics, OnRobot, Packaging Automation, Reeco Automation, Sensor Centre, Thorite, Tsubakimoto Europe, Wenglor Sensoric, Werma and Wittenstein. These and other companies will host live demonstrations of working machinery and product launches. The PPMA Show will include a new live demonstration theatre where exhibitors will present their latest technologies for the first time in the UK. Another novelty is a daily Innovation Tour that will visit selected exhibitors during the show. The PPMA Show TV returns for its 10th year, broadcasting live from exhibitors’ stands, showcasing their working machinery. The broadcasts will be shown in the live demonstration theatre, where company experts will provide commentary on the onscreen reports and answer questions. Visitors will have access to a wide range of expert talks in the seminar theatres. The presentations have been designed to stimulate visitors to consider how they can put their knowledge into practice, as well as staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends. This year’s keynote speakers are: n Stefan Casey from Nestlé, who will talk about the digital transformation of the FMCG industry; and n Jessica Sansom from Huel, who will discuss rising to the challenges of climate change. Automate UK has launched a free PPMA Show app with a user-friendly, interactive design.
