60 n NEW PRODUCTS July/August 2024 www.drivesncontrols.com Baumer has announced what it claims is the smallest maintenance- and wear-free, multi-turn absolute encoder. The bearingless EB360 encoder is designed to deliver precise angle position and speed feedback, even in dusty, dirty or wet environments. The 22mmtall encapsulated device offers ±0.3% precision, combined with IP67 protection (or the option of IP69K). The modular, space-saving design with a built-in rotor, simplifies integration and extends potential uses. The non-contact sensing principle, without moving components, ensures high reliability, preventing any ingress of fibres, dust or fluids. The absence of moving parts also eliminates time-consuming maintenance and downtime. The EB360 is available in single- or multi-turn versions with interfaces including SSI and CANopen. It is resistant to vibration and shocks up to 500g, and can operate from –40ºC to +85ºC. Baumer www.baumer.com/c/47029 The connector-maker binder has developed a range of industrial LED lights that can be used to illuminate workspaces or to indicate machine operating modes. They come in three lengths (250, 358 and 412mm), with 60, 96 or 114 LEDs. They consume 5.7–11W, achieve luminous –uxes of 410–746lm and illuminance levels of 108– 198lx. The light colour is 4,000K, with a spectrum similar to daylight. The IP69K-protected lights have M12 plug-in connectors for easy integration into automation systems. A-coding enables the transmission of both electrical power and signals via this interface. The symmetrical arrangement of the LEDs creates a homogeneous light pattern and helps to avoid thermal hotspots. The luminaires have 50,000-hour service lives. The lights are available with aluminium or steel end caps. They are also available with coloured or addressable LEDs, or versions with special light wavelengths. The R200 pulse-ranging sensor operates on the time-of-–ight principle, combining precision with rugged longdistance measurement for areas where space is limited. The sensor achieves detection ranges of up to 10m on white objects, and up to 60m when used with a re–ector. It outputs a rugged distance signal and maintains a repeat accuracy of up to 3mm. A built-in IO-Link interface means it is suitable for future Industry 4.0 applications. Pepperl+Fuchs 0161 622 6308 www.pepperl-fuchs.com Flir has released a pair of kits that monitor critical equipment by analysing vibrations, detecting faults, and alerting you to potential defects and future problems. The IP66-protected wireless SV88 and SV89 kits ožer continuous condition monitoring and can be used in various industrial environments. A Web-based interface allows users to deploy the sensors easily and establish measurement frequencies, as well as viewing trending data via a Web interface. For advanced users who need to send vibration and temperature data to external systems, the kits provide connectivity via the Modbus, MQTT and OPC UA protocols. The SSDC series supports multiple fieldbus protocols for easy incorporation into existing systems. Control options include: pulse/direction control; analogue control; and multiple fieldbus protocols (Modbus, CANopen, SCL/eSCL commands, EtherNet/IP and EtherCat). A stand-alone programmable function lets users tailor and optimise their motion control systems. The STF series delivers good value for money, without compromising performance. Both series prioritise safety, incorporating Safe Torque off (STO) inputs which allow rapid, secure disabling of the drive’s output torque, thus preventing unintended motor movements and enhancing safety.
