AC Induction Motors Oriental Motor’s watertight, dust-resistant AC motors can be used in belt and pinch conveyors, tension control systems and packing systems. The standard AC motors are easy to operate: a single-phase motor can be connected to a single- phase power supply via the capacitor (supplied) while the three-phase motor is connected directly to the power supply. High pressure water cleaning must not affect the efficiency of the motor used in the equipment. The following year, Oriental Motor added the World K series of AC motors, with 6 - 90W output and a speed range of 1,150 - 1,650rpm. This compact design is ideal for continuous operation and is also available with a capacitor for connection to a power supply. The motors offer a range of speed reduction gear options which can be selected according to the roller size, conveyor length of travel or the weight to be carried. Brushless DC Motors High-efficiency brushless DC motors are also designed to achieve high output in a compact body. Oriental Motor BLDC motors deliver high speed operation and a wide speed control range with constant torque characteristics from low to high speeds. The BLE2 and BLH series of BLDC motors are all characterised by speed stability, even if the load changes (speed regulation). They are also able to control speed with manipulation of the motor’s rotational speed. (Typically, a speed feedback device is required together with a speed controller.) AC and DC input versions are available. The wide range of high efficiency motors is used in continuously running systems and for those which require feedback and adjustments without interrupting production.
