RARUK Automation will be demonstrating a new series of automated transportation robots that incorporate collaborative robot arms. The ER-Flex robots, from Enabled Robotics, can address labour shortages as well as automating repetitive tasks such as picking and packing, material handling and warehouse automation. They do not need to run on tracks and can even operate in lights-out environments. The safety specialist Euchner will launch two products – the Industry 4.0 ready CTS safety switch and the CKS2 coded key system – as well as showcasing its range of guard-locking products for common fieldbus connections. The IO-Link-compatible CTS is Euchner’s first FlexFunction device and expands its range by sitting between its CTP and CTM safety switches. FlexFunction uses a transponder-coded actuator to determine the switch’s function, allowing one device to perform a variety of functions. On the Festo stand, you will find process valve controls, servo-controlled flow wrapping and a new system for controlling web tension using dancing rollers. An OEM balancer makes it easy for designers to integrate all the counter-balance controls they need with their own mechanical structures – a boon for lifting the heavy loads typically found at the beginning or end of production lines.
