TheWhite Paper, called Built-in Safety Features for Variable-SpeedDrives , aims to simplify information on the topic and to offer an introduction to the most important functional safety standards for industrial processes. It also discusses how VSDs can be used to implement safety functions. VSDs with built-in functions are easier to install and cost less to maintain.
