The first Nakata brand products, a range of wheel bearings, were launched in the UK in early 2025. This new steering and suspension range builds on that introduction and includes ball joints, control arms, inner tie rods, tie rod ends, stabiliser links and suspension bushes across an initial 1,800 references. Nakata says its steering and suspension components benefit from advanced engineering processes and stringent quality control at every stage of production. From material selection through to final inspection, it says each component is designed to ensure consistent fit, reliable performance, and long service life, aligning with the needs of the UK aftermarket. nakata.uk New steering and suspension range enters the UK market Straight pulls and no slip with new adjustable pulley extractor Laser Tools has introduced the Adjustable Pulley Puller (part number 9231), which is designed to quickly and safely remove auxiliary drive pulleys that run ribbed (serpentine) belts, without damaging the pulley or shaft. Its left and right-hand threaded clamping mechanism ensures the toothed clamps close evenly around the pulley rim, so the central force screw remains concentric with the shaft — delivering a true, straight pull. Laser says this new pulley puller is ideal for modern accessory-drive systems where space is tight, and damage to the pulley faces or shafts must be avoided. The puller is suitable for a pulley diameter range of 68 mm to 125 mm. The toothed clamps grip pulleys securely without marking driven surfaces, while the ball-ended force screw prevents gouging of the shaft. The device is suitable for water pump pulleys, alternator pulleys, air-conditioning pulleys, crankshaft accessories and other ribbed-belt pulleys across many makes and models. And it has been manufactured from heat-treated C45 carbon steel (EN8) for strength and durability under repeated workshop use. MANN-FILTER expands portfolio with plantbased raw material As part of its sustainability strategy, and following the introduction of the first CO₂-reduced filters last year, MANNFILTER is now offering additional air and oil filters as part of the transition to series production. Workshops can now benefit from renewable, plant-based materials of proven originalequipment quality. As a result of the product expansion, the more sustainable MANN-FILTER air filters are available for around 120 million passenger cars and vans in the European IAM. Oil filters treated with lignin are used in approximately 35 million vehicles across Europe. In addition, both filter solutions are available worldwide for millions of other vehicles. The number of available products has more than doubled as a result of the expansion. The transition to the new filter types began in May, and the products are clearly marked with a leaf symbol on the packaging. And the lignin-based filters are being introduced with no changes to part numbers or logistics.
