Brands at TPS has expanded the range of products available through TPS’s 83 UK Centres by partnering with industry-leading third-party brands renowned for producing high-quality mechanical parts. It has seen well established aftermarket brands, Bosch, Lemförder, Mahle, NGK, NTK, Sachs, SKF and TRW join Brands at TPS, with each new supplier adding more parts into the TPS offering, with all the parts available particularly suitable for older Volkswagen Group vehicles. It’s a timely boost, with the average car in the UK now the oldest it’s ever been. According to research from the RAC Foundation, the average car on the UK roads last year was nine years and 10 months old. Furthermore, of all the cars on the road at the end of 2024, more than two in five (40.7%) were at least 10 years old. It’s a trend that shows no signs of slowing and for garages seeing increasing numbers of older vehicles in the workshop, TPS has its covered with the Brands at TPS range. For braking parts, Bosch and TRW — two of the most well-established brands in the sector — are both supplying brake discs, brake shoes, brake pads and wear indicators through Brands at TPS. As the leading provider of OE-quality braking parts, TRW braking systems are used in over half of the world’s vehicles. TRW braking parts are globally recognised for safety, durability and innovation and offer many benefits when fitted to vehicles. For instance, TRW’s brake discs tight manufacturing tolerances make them a hassle-free fit in the workshop and with improved, damping, stability and thermal behaviour, they also help to deliver better vehicle performance. Bosch has been driving innovation and reliability for over 125 years in the UK, and this can be seen in the features and benefits provided by their braking parts. The Bosch brake discs are precision balanced to reduce pedal pulsation and vibration, and the heat flowed castings used in their production help to ensure quiet, even wear over time. Bosch brake shoes are engineered for consistent, superior braking and are bonded and riveted to match OE attachment methods. Similarly, Bosch brake pads premium design makes them suitable for technicians working on older Volkswagen Group makes and models. Dan Fogerty, Aftersales Product Manager, said: “With Bosch and TRW supplying braking parts through Brands at TPS, we are now able to offer the biggest ever range of braking products to TPS customers. “This will be further boosted again in the next few months with Hella adding brake calipers, brake drums, wheel brake cylinders, brake hoses, and cables to the selection of braking parts available through the Brands at TPS range. “So, with Brands at TPS parts particularly suitable for older Volkswagen Group vehicles, if you are a mechanic or technician working on these types of vehicle models, remember to add our high-quality branded parts to any TPS order.” The Brands at TPS offering is initially supplying up to 2,000 third-party parts, with plans to increase this to over 10,000 as the range develops and new third-party brands come on board over the coming years.
