Training, development and wellbeing 46 www.aftermarketonline.net FEBRUARY 2026 Ben extends training for health awareness with new initiatives Ben has launched Men’s Health Awareness training to provide employees in the automotive industry with a better understanding of the health challenges that affect men’s physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing. The course is part of a suite of three new training products being introduced by Ben, including its recent Equality, Diversity & Inclusion course — and a new Women’s Health Awareness course, to be launched this year, which Ben said will be suitable for all genders and anyone wanting to learn more about women’s health and wellbeing. In the UK, one in five men die before reaching 65 and, with over 82% of the automotive workforce made up of men, Ben said it is shining a light on men’s health to help start supportive conversations. The training has been created to increase awareness about men’s health and wellbeing across the industry. The course is suitable for anyone who works in the automotive industry, including people managers and all genders. Course benefits include: O Insights into health challenges and risks related to men’s health and wellbeing; O Strategies to build resilience, skills and confidence to support with better managing men’s health; O A clear understanding of personal wellbeing; O Knowledge to recognise, support and empower men’s health, at work and beyond; O How to support others and hold supportive conversations around men’s health; O A toolkit packed full of useful resources. The training is offered faceto-face or virtually, providing a flexible and engaging learning environment. Any profits generated from Ben Training bookings go back into the charity’s mission of providing free, confidential health and wellbeing support for life to those who work, or have worked, in the automotive industry and their families. Julie Hayes, specialist services lead at Ben, said: “It’s vital to be driving awareness and strengthening men’s health and wellbeing across the industry. Too often, common health and wellbeing concerns go unspoken — and that silence can have a serious impact. “With our expertise built over the past 120 years, we’re uniquely positioned to deliver training that helps automotive people genuinely thrive in their work and home lives. “We’re eager to partner with employers to support their employees so they feel valued, connected and confident to bring their best selves to work and beyond. We’re looking forward to working closely with many more automotive employers as a trusted training partner.” Visit https://ben.org. uk/how-we-help/ for-my-business/ training/men-s-healthawareness-training/ to find out more and book training.
