Safe & secure workshop 44 www.aftermarketonline.net DECEMBER/JANUARY 2026 Online tool puts workplace safety in spotlight Anew workplace incident reporting app designed to transform how firms capture and manage accident and incident data has been unveiled by jobmate. The UK developer of operational software said ‘jobsafe’ was launched in October at the Future Focus conference in Birmingham. CEO and founder of jobmate, Chris Dalton, said the system comes into its own especially when an incident needs to be recorded on a third-party site in real time — a strong defence if the Health and Safety Executive or legal claims become involved. According to Dalton, jobsafe has been developed to help organisations improve safety compliance by giving employees a simple mobile app for reporting any type of incident, large or small, with a full audit trail and timestamped coordination. The system empowers workers to act as first responders by capturing critical information immediately after an incident, whether on-site, on the road, or at a customer location. Accidents, near misses, and hazards can be logged quickly and accurately. The app allows users to take photos, collect witness statements, and gather digital signatures — all in real time. Dalton said the system also enables detailed categorisation of events, covering everything from slips, trips, and spills to collisions, property damage, or vehicle defects. A built-in reporting dashboard lets managers view, filter, and track incidents by status, employee, customer, or any other relevant criteria. Furthermore, Dalton said all data can be exported in CSV format and integrated seamlessly with existing operational or compliance systems. “The theme of this year’s Future Focus aligned perfectly with our new safety tool. “jobsafe was developed in direct response to customer demand for a fast, intuitive way to manage workplace incidents. It enables businesses to demonstrate due diligence, respond quickly to events, avoid disputes, and ultimately improve safety outcomes for both employers and employees.” Visitjobmate.cloud for details. Safety and warmth for workshops As the seasons shift and the days grow shorter, Jefferson Tools is rolling out a range of tools and equipment solutions for professionals who will be working through the colder months. The UK and Ireland tools supplier said lighting takes centre stage this season, with the extended HyperBeam range — brighter, more energyefficient lights designed to keep work going safely in garages and other locations after dark. Heating also gets a major update with the addition of a 75,000 BTU model to the popular Inferno Infrared Heater series. Jefferson said these units (pictured) combines fuel efficiency with low noise and powerful heat output, making it ideal for workshops, warehouses and other demanding spaces. The products are among those included in Jefferson’s October 2025-March 2026 catalogue. Contact Aileen Kelly (marketing@ jeffersontools.com) for details.
