Peak planning 38 www.aftermarketonline.net DECEMBER/JANUARY 2026 Prioritising digital simplicity for customers New website helps Farnborough business streamline online booking and strengthen customer communication Astrategic shift in business focus has led West Heath Garage in Farnborough to rebuild its online image from the ground up — a move that’s already paying dividends. With hundreds of thousands of appearances in Google search results since launching in early 2025, the garage’s website is giving peak planning efforts a major hand by not only attracting more of the right kind of work, but also being central to how the garage now connects with its customers online. The site, built by specialist garage website provider Garage Services Online (GSO), is now the digital foundation for West Heath’s wider marketing activity, which includes a newsletter, customer app, and ‘tips and tricks’ blog. Customers can make bookings or send enquiries directly through the site, and the garage is already seeing a marked increase in both. David Edwards, marketing manager at West Heath, said: “We’re very tuned in to how our customers want to interact with us. Some prefer to phone, others want to message or book online, and the website supports all of that. It’s now the core of our digital activity, so it was vital we got it right.” Previously, the business had focused more heavily on used car sales, but as West Heath moves fully toward servicing, MOTs and repairs, David said a more streamlined approach was needed. “We looked at three agencies but really liked how GSO approached the content. Their structure works so well because the individual pages for different makes and models make it easier for customers and better for SEO,” he said. “They also integrated the Bosch widget seamlessly, which was really important for us as a Bosch Service Centre.” Since launch, the garage’s visibility and engagement have exceeded expectations. The garage is seeing increased web traffic, form submissions and phone calls directly linked to online search performance. “The visibility we’re getting is fantastic. We’re appearing in hundreds of thousands of searches already, and we’re seeing that translate into enquiries and bookings,” David added. He describes the process of working with GSO as refreshingly straightforward. “They’re a truly excellent team. They were clear about what could be achieved, understood the brief, and simply got onboard with what we were trying to do from day one.” Jim Lang, managing director at GSO, said: “The structure and content of West Heath’s website is designed to reflect how customers search and what they expect to find.” Website helping garage move fully toward servicing, MOTs and repairs Customers can make bookings or send enquiries directly
