First Line said its products are engineered to withstand these harsh real-world conditions, and is urging technicians to take a proactive approach by carrying out thorough inspections of steering and suspension components during routine maintenance. Meanwhile, the shift towards EVs places new demands on steering and suspension systems, the firm said. The additional weight of batteries requires components that can carry increased loads without compromising safety or handling. WeatherTech seasonal sales boost ideas As the wintry weather starts to take hold, UK garages and workshops have a golden opportunity to boost revenue and enhance customer satisfaction with WeatherTech UK’s premium vehicle protection products. From laser-measured FloorLiners that trap water and mud before it hits the carpet, to Boot Liners and Mud Flaps designed to keep vehicles cleaner for longer, WeatherTech UK’s range is the perfect seasonal upsell. Guy Tomlinson, MD at WeatherTech UK, said: “By recommending vehicle protection products at the point of service, workshops can generate additional profit while helping drivers protect their investment.” GSF Car Parts is launching more than 450 steering and suspension SKUs in partnership with Lemförder, part of ZF Friedrichshafen. The range will include control arms, wishbones, stabiliser links and rubber to metal parts, covering 85% of the prestige European vehicle parc, including for brands such as Audi, BMW, JLR, Mercedes, Porsche and VW. GSF will stock products at 80 branches, as well as all regional distribution centres. All Lemförder products come with a 24-month, unlimited-mile warranty as standard, giving garages and motorists peace of mind. Lead battery manufacturer Banner has announced an expansion of its range with four new battery types to strengthen the company’s grip on the multi-drive systems market. Banner is introducing three EFB models for startstop passenger cars, hybrid, and EVs, as well as a new AGM battery for commercial vehicles. The announcement comes four months after Banner revealed increases in sales and revenue, noting that lead acid technology continued to be a mainstay for the industry. Lee Quinney, Banner’s UK country manager, said: “The product range expansion is an important step in offering our customers the most comprehensive coverage possible of the European vehicle fleet for aftermarket fitment with our OE-quality brand batteries.” Range steers through worst of winter
