Tyre bay 48 www.aftermarketonline.net NOVEMBER 2025 Sheffield-based tyre inflation expert PCL is urging motorists to do their bit on tyre safety, saying checks are quick, vital and take less time than making a cuppa. That was the key message of PCL’s campaign in support of TyreSafe’s annual Tyre Safety Month in October. Tyresafe, the road safety charity that works across the aftermarket, said surveys show that more than 70% of men and women are more stressed about vehicle maintenance every month that relationship issues. PCL said TyreSafe’s advice is: “Life has enough pressures — don’t let tyres be one.” The company is urging everyone to conduct a three-step plan once every month: check air pressure, tyre condition and tread. PCL said the process need only take two-to-three minutes, less time than the four-to-five minutes to make a “proper Yorkshire brew”. Stuart Lovatt, TyreSafe chair, said: “If every road user made tyre checks part of their routine, the positive impact on road safety would be immense. PCL’s campaign shows just how quick and easy it can be — faster than making a cup of tea.” PCL has manufacturing plants in England and several other countries from which it exports worldwide.
