Brakes 41 www.aftermarketonline.net NOVEMBER 2025 Designed to fit first time, saving workshops labour time and money ‘Braking news’ from TPS Boost in parts offering adds to biggest ever products range TPS, supplier of Volkswagen Group approved genuine parts to the independent motor trade, has boosted its braking offer to garages — which the firm said means the biggest range of braking products ever made available to its customers. More braking parts are now available following the launch of the ‘Brands at TPS’ parts offering. This has seen an expansion in the range of products available through TPS’s 83 UK centres, by partnering with industryleading third-party brands renowned for producing highquality mechanical parts. Since the launch, aftermarket brands Bosch, Mahle, SKF, Niterra and ZF have been welcomed into the product family. Both Bosch and TRW (a sub-brand of ZF), will provide brake discs, pads and shoes as part of the range available. TPS is initially offering up to around 2,000 third-party parts, including braking products, with plans to increase this to over 10,000 as the ‘Brands at TPS’ range develops and new third-party brands come on board. Adam Hockley, VW Group parts product manager, said: “The addition of ‘Brands at TPS’ supplements TPS’s existing range of VW Group approved genuine parts. ‘Brands at TPS’ braking parts are ideal for older vehicles, where genuine parts may not be an option, Hockley said. However, VW Group approved genuine parts remain the best choice available for garages when deciding which parts to recommend and fit to their customers’ vehicles. “There are also the commercial benefits… designed to fit first time, they save labour time and money in the workshop and the residual value in the vehicle is also retained.” As part of VW Group’s rigorous testing procedures, approved genuine brake pads are subject to four times the number of tests recommended by ECE R90 regulation — the legal standard for brake pads manufactured in Europe. Additionally, the brake pads contain 25 key materials, over three times the minimum required — resulting in lower wear, increased performance and longer service life. As well as the safety, performance and the firsttime fit assurances that come with fitting VW Group approved genuine brake parts, TPS customers can also benefit from significant discounts through promotions and deals. In November, as part of the build up to TPS’s Black Friday promotion, customers will be able to receive a free Quantum Brake and Clutch Cleaner from TPS when they buy genuine brake discs and pads on the same order. There are also TPS’s regular monthly offers, which provide a series of discounts across a full range of parts and consumables, with braking parts featured among them.
