As we gear up for the finals of the Top Awards, the spotlight turns to those who have gone above and beyond in the aftermarket sector. With a growing focus on peoplerelated values like health and wellbeing, community and resilience, this year’s award ceremony is set to be a reflection of what truly makes our industry thrive. After all, people are what keep the sector running so we have a shared responsibility to look after their health and wellbeing. This year, Ben continues its involvement in the awards, championing health and wellbeing across the sector. Ben is hosting the Wellbeing Award, which recognises companies that go above and beyond to look after the health and wellbeing of their people. Ben’s head of awareness & experience, Ellen Plumer, is a judge on the panel. The Ben team is also hosting a Big Breakfast at the event, in partnership with the Otley Burger Company, aiming to bring the sector together over a cuppa and a chat. Ellen said: “Supporting the people who keep the automotive industry running is at the heart of everything we do. “Our Big Breakfast will definitely be the best meal of the day, as well as a time for connection over a cuppa and a sausage sarnie. We want to start important conversations about health and wellbeing in a way that’s inclusive, positive and accessible for all. “The health and wellbeing of the garage workforce is a vital topic, and one that deserves our continued focus. Sponsoring the Wellbeing category at the awards this year is our way of recognising those who make this commitment to their people.” The iconic Ben Bus and Ben on the road team are set to make an appearance at the finals, offering an on-the-ground reminder of the charity’s vital work and support services. Ellen added: “The awards are a fantastic celebration for the sector, shining a light on excellence, innovation and those who are striving to achieve even more. “We’re delighted to be part of this incredible event again and we look forward to seeing you there, sharing your stories and celebrating the true heart of the industry — its people.” To find out more about how Ben works with employers, visit www.ben.org.uk/ partnerwithus or visit www.ben.org.uk/ supportBen to support us.
