The announcement came after the Warwick-based academy said last May it was doubling the size of the site to 1,430m2 with a £500,000 investment. And taking part in the formal opening ceremony on October 22 were industry leaders, training experts, and representatives from major organisations worldwide — all eager to tour the state-of-the-art centre and experience its world-class facilities. Delphi’s training facility has doubled in size by extending into a neighbouring unit, with the new wing dedicated specifically to training in hybrid, electric vehicle and hydrogen technologies. Neil Fryer, vice-president and global aftermarket general manager at PHINIA, the company behind the Delphi brand, outlined the academy’s role in supporting the aftermarket, saying: “Our strong relationships with vehicle manufacturers allow us to bring original equipment knowledge directly to the aftermarket. “Technicians need the right parts, information, and training to carry out effective repairs, and that’s what we’re The formal opening of the academy came just days after Delphi was crowned parts supplier of the year at the prestigious Servicesure Autocentre of the Year Awards 2024 — and hot on the heels of Delphi’s recent triumph as diagnostic equipment manufacturer of the year at the Auto Trade Expo Awards. Delphi said the Servicesure award highlighted its strong relationships with workshops across the UK and reinforced its reputation for supplying innovative solutions that help independent garages thrive. The Servicesure awards began with a lively trade show, with Delphi showcasing its latest innovations. Delphi’s security gateway solution, which provides technicians with seamless, unrestricted access for essential diagnostics on connected vehicles, proved a hit, along with its newly launched DS Hub.
