ADAS 35 www.aftermarketonline.net DECEMBER/JANUARY 2025 You have explained how you work to the standard set by the car manufacturer and how you strive to go above that. Can you underline the importance of using only accredited ADAS technical support? Car manufactures set their calibration processes for a reason; to ensure the vehicle is given back to the customer in a safe working condition. By using a qualified and accredited ADAS technician, if a collision occurs which causes injury, or worse, a fatality, you can safely say the vehicle was worked on to the high standard set by the manufacturer — and its method was meticulously followed. Otherwise, how can you sleep easy at night? One insurer recently called for a standardised warning light for all vehicles fitted with ADAS to alert drivers when systems are not working correctly. What’s your professional opinion? An ADAS warning light will only tell you when a system has failed, not when it needs a calibration. Don’t get me wrong, this is a good idea, but I still think better knowledge and understanding of when calibration is required is just as important. What are the origins of A1 ADAS Solutions and can you give an overview of your business and service providers you work with? A1 ADAS Solutions Group is an independent family business founded in March 2020. It’s the only company in the UK to provide both ADAS and vehicle diagnostic services, as well as operate as an equipment and tool distributor. This unique ‘whole solution’ approach has led to A1 being recognised as the aftermarket’s leading innovator of ADAS and diagnostic services. The A1 Group operates under three brands: O A1 ADAS Solutions — provides ADAS calibration, ECU programming, and diagnostic services; our ‘done-foryou’ service. O A1 Remote Diagnostics — provides ADAS, programming, and diagnostic services via an interface; our ‘support you’ service. O A1 Diagnostic Solutions — supplies ADAS and diagnostic equipment, garage equipment, tools, training, and ongoing technical support; our ‘set-up-for-you’ service. A1 is unique — we take the ‘pain’ out of ADAS by helping workshops with three choices in how to manage ADAS work. Each massively reduces key-to-key times and increases profits. However, what’s right for one workshop won’t be right for another. By performing ADAS calibrations day-in day-out, we live and breathe it. There isn’t much we haven’t seen. It places us in the best position to offer unbiased and specialist advice. Our customer partners include garages, bodyshops, national windscreen repairers, vehicle repair groups, and fleet companies. The A1 ADAS Group is ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certified as well as being SafeContractor Certified.
