Automechanika director Olaf Musshoff told Aftermarket earlier this year that the event is set to welcome participants from more than 170 countries, of which the UK contingent of businesses is an important part. This special preview of the show highlights just a small selection of companies and brands that will be heading to Germany for this prestige event. Aftermarket editor John Shepherd will also be in Frankfurt to meet UK garages and businesses taking part, along with suppliers to the UK market. Contact John (john@aftermarket. co.uk) if you would like an opportunity to meet during the show and be considered for coverage in our full post-show review, which will be published in October’s edition. Melett turbocharged for event Melett, a leading provider of precision-engineered turbochargers and components for the global automotive aftermarket, will be displaying some of its latest products while its team will be on hand to discuss how the company supports turbocharger repairs. Among the products on display in hall 5.1/stand D48 will be a new-to-range replacement aftermarket turbocharger suitable for Jaguar and Range Rover applications. Attendees can also expect to see recent releases for ball bearing core assemblies, compatible with a range of applications including BMW 1-5 series 2.0D. There will also be Melett’s extended range of genuine HELLA actuators for a range of Chrysler, Jeep, and Mercedes 3.0D applications, as well as commercial and marine applications such as DAF, MAN, and Volvo Penta. The company is also an approved supplier to several vehicle manufacturers for their own aftermarket turbo programmes. Melett group sales director Darren Johnson said: “Choosing a quality turbo repair specialist not only helps reduce warranty returns, provides peace of mind, and protects business reputation, but it also helps improve the overall reputation of the aftermarket.” PCL gets smart Tyre inflation expert PCL is looking smart for the show, with its new Bluetooth enabled Accura Qube to be showcased in hall 8/stand J73. Exhibiting alongside TECALEMIT, PCL is inviting visitors to see this innovative smart unit in action. Coupled with the PCL Workshop Connect app for remote inflation and reporting, it allows operators to build a database of inflation data through the app’s reporting mechanism, with each inflation recorded and downloaded as a PDF and CSV file. Featuring all the benefits of the standard Accura Qube, series II, the Bluetooth model is ideal for HGV roadside tyre maintenance as it provides a 15-metre operating range, allowing the operator to keep out of harm’s way in case of tyre failure during inflation. The system is a must for garages, dealerships, car hire, roadside assistance vehicles, MOT centres and automotive production lines. 6FKDHᎱHU launches VLS Schaeffler’s complete portfolio of repair and service solutions for combustion engines, hybrids and EVs will be ready for inspection at Frankfurt.
