UFI said Cataldi, 55, will take the lead for the aftermarket globally for the group’s activities in filtration, thermal management and technologies for the development of hydrogen mobility. Cataldi has more than 25 years of management experience and a strong background in the automotive aftermarket in Italy and internationally. UFI Filters Group CEO Stefano Gava, whose promotion to his post was reported by Aftermarket earlier this year, said Cataldi’s expertise would help propel the firm’s UFI and SOFIMA businesses to new heights, with UFI aiming for double-digit growth worldwide in the next three years. “Paolo has the important objective of consolidating and strengthening our market leadership in Italy and to drive other countries in the same direction.” Dayco has announced the appointment of several strategic leadership positions, as well as the relocation of the company’s global HQ to Birmingham in the US state of Michigan. The company said on May 1 that Michael Widgren has joined the group as chief financial and administrative officer, R J Corning as chief human resources officer, Clifton Levack as chief supply officer, Audrey Harling as VP and MD of North America aftermarket and global strategy and planning, and Thomas Jauch, VP and MD of global belts OE. They join Steve Keller, general counsel, and the rest of the aftermarket MDs Ruggero Semola (EMEA), Marcelo Sanches (LATAM) and Arnold Mouw (APAC). Dayco said the new executive leadership team will work collaboratively with CEO Craig Frohock to spearhead the group’s vision and ongoing transformation as one of the world’s premier drive systems suppliers. Widgren brings 30 years of experience providing financial leadership to global corporations. Corning has more than 20 years of experience across automotive, consumer goods and industrial industries, having served in global leadership positions in several HR practice areas. Clifton Levack joins Dayco from Mann+Hummel, where he was VP of global logistics and aftermarket distribution. He has senior level experience working in global manufacturing and supply chain roles throughout his career. Harling has two decades of experience, including key leadership roles at other aftermarket organisations. Jauch joins Dayco from Hella, where he most recently served as EVP and led the 2B Euro headlamps business. Though his career, he has held a number of leadership and board member roles with tier 1 companies. Harvey, whose appointment was announced on April 18, will be responsible for managing sales and fostering commercial relationships with a diverse range of buying groups and customers across the UK. Harvey brings with him extensive experience in the automotive aftermarket, having previously held positions at Haldex UK, Bosal and Banner. Ross Toomey, managing director at SMP Europe, said Neil’s experience and deep understanding of the automotive aftermarket make him a valuable addition to the SMP Europe team as the company continues to strengthen its presence in the market.
