Hansen’s more than 15 years of experience in the lubricants industry has included sales and export posts with Comma Oil, Cosan Lubricants and Moove Europe. Most recently, he was head of retail in Europe at Moove Lubricants. Duckhams has expanded into 27 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Asia since the engine oil brand’s UK relaunch in 2017. Matthews took up the post with the national distribution network for products and services to the crash repair market on April 1. He has more than 30 years of experience in the accident repair and insurance sector. Matthews was most recently UK business development director at the Retail Automotive Alliance and is a former business development director at AutoRestore, head of the UK business at Fix Auto and sales and marketing director at Audatex UK. Matthews named CEO of ACIS Wayne Stevens has been appointed MD of GS Yuasa Battery Sales UK — in a move the battery producer said will see his strong focus on the automotive aftermarket deployed to drive further growth and innovation. Stevens’ appointment, announced on April 2, follows the relocation of GS Yuasa’s European headquarters to a state-of-the-art facility in Swindon last September. “In a rapidly evolving landscape of automotive innovation and AI advancements, the demand for battery supply and cutting-edge technology is unprecedented,” Stevens said. “GS Yuasa is poised to lead the industry and seize the opportunities that lie ahead.” Andrew Taylor, MD and CEO of Yuasa Battery Europe, said Stevens’ experience and market experience will play a key role as the group continues to expand across automotive, motorcycle and industrial battery sectors. Yuasa’s Swindon facility incorporates the latest advancements in warehouse systems including automated shuttle racking, AGV reach trucks and pick tunnels to significantly improve order processing capacity and operational efficiency.
