JUNE 2023 AFTERMARKET 65 EYEBROW www.aftermarketonline.net Tina Drayson named Head of IAAF Garage Section Tina Drayson, Operations Manager at Surrey/West Sussex-based garage group CCM has been named as the new Head of the IAAF Garage Section, as well as being appointed to the IAAF Council. Commenting on her voluntary new role, Tina observed: “Using my experience at CCM Garage, it’s clear to see the challenges that garages face in the modern world, from facing increasingly restricted access to data and technical information, to the rising cost of running a business amid the ongoing cost-of-living crisis. It was therefore an honour to be given the opportunity to head up this integral section of the Federation and I look forward to welcoming and supporting more garage members over the coming months and year.” IAAF CEO Mark Field added: “I’m delighted that Tina has become the new Head of the IAAF Garage Section, as her vast experience makes her an ideal candidate for the role. It has given the section of the IAAF a real boost and I look forward to working with her to offer independent garages something different and a fresh approach that supports their business and the people that work in the market.” During 2023 over 1,500 garages have signed up for the IAAF’s Garage Section. New BDM for Point S A new Business and Development Manager for the South West and South Wales has been appointed at Point S Tyre & Autocare. Ben Herridge has joined the team to support Point S network members in the region. Prior to his new role, Ben has held a range of positions across the motor sector, including account management and business development roles at ATS Euromaster and Continental Tyres. Commenting on his new role, Ben said: “Point S is growing rapidly within the UK market and I am thrilled to be on board to help the network continue along this path. I am looking forward to visiting our members to find out how we can grow their businesses, and I am excited to meet with prospective new members to demonstrate what Point S can do for them.” UK Network Operations Manager Wayne Daniel added: “Ben’s experience is a welcome boost to our team of business development managers. We have been looking for the right fit in the South West/South Wales, and we are confident that Ben can help us drive the network forward in this region.” Follow us on Facebook @aftermarketmagazine Autoelectro: The next generation The next generation of Bhogals is stepping up at Autoelectro, with Harnek Bhogal, son of Paul and nephew of Tony and Nicky, now a Director at the Bradford-based company. Harnek said: “I’ve been given an opportunity to demonstrate my qualities, learnt through maturing at Autoelectro, gaining an economics degree from Lancaster University and previous employment with OEMs and VMs. I’m ready to grab this opportunity with both hands.” He added: “We can’t rest on our laurels; We need to stay ahead of the curve, as the diversification and technological evolution of starter motors and alternators continues. I want to bring a philosophy that will create a culture of innovation and growth, to think outside the box, take calculated risks, and embrace change.
