Access to the online platform is available for 12 months, then the practical assessment can be taken at the nearest RMI Academy (Southam, Runcorn, Lincoln or Winchester) or your own premises. The course is suitable for technicians qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Vehicle Repair and Maintenance and/or equivalent. If you have information on training you wish to share, please get in touch with the editor via email: alex@aftermarket.co.uk Lucas Oil Products (UK) have teamed up with Bangor-based Coleg Menai to teach students on its Motorsport Engineering Level 2 programme to learn how fuel and oil additive technology works The joint-venture is part of a programme running in partnership with the US oil manufacturer’s educational arm, the Lucas Oil Academy (LOA). At the end of the two-year initiative, the students, who will have been split into two teams, will race cars they have built from kits and recycled components.
