F ollowing an unprecedented four-year gap since the last full Automechanika Frankfurt, the show will be back from 13-17 September when the doors swing open at the Frankfurt Am Main showground. As usual, the show will look to offer up the entire automotive aftermarket on one site. For 2022 Automechanika will take up eight halls, representing around 200,000 square metres of exhibition space. The main topics for the show will be trends and innovations, sustainable solutions, networking and knowledge, and talents, education and training. The Automechanika Innovation Awards will also be up for grabs once more, with a record number of submissions having been received. Product groups covered will be accessories and customising, body and paint, car wash and care, classic cars, dealer and workshop management, diagnostics and repair, electronics and connectivity and parts and components. The show will also have the expected international flavour, with over 80% of companies exhibiting coming from outside Germany. There will be a vast number of familiar names present. HELLA will be on Stands 80-88 in Hall 9.0 HELLA will be showing off a wide array from across its lighting and electronics ranges at the show. On its sizeable 800 square metre stand, the company will be demonstrating how it is helping garages prepare for the future. The stand will also cover Hella Gutmann, and the brand will be showing off product solutions for dealing with high-voltage (HV) technology, including HV battery diagnostics and the new guided HV measurements via the mega macs X diagnostic unit and the MT-HV high-voltage measurement module. HELLA will also be looking to highlight the training it offers. In fact, Ecobat Battery and sister company Ecobat Solutions will be joining forces to demonstrate both ends of the battery cycle. Ecobat Battery will be looking to highlight its status as the sole European license holder and distributor for Lucas and Rolls batteries and a key distributor for Exide, VARTA, US Battery, Trojan, Optima, Sonnenschein, Tan and more. Under the brand, customers also have access to battery recycling, via Ecobat Solutions. This covers lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries and EV battery packs as well. The company has been disassembling, discharging, re-engineering and recycling lithium batteries for the last 18 months at its Darlaston site in the UK, with more than 2,000 batteries processed in that time.
