64 AFTERMARKET APRIL 2022 RECRUITMENT www.aftermarketonline.net The latest news on who is moving in the industry NEW APPOINTMENTS BorgWarner appoints Neil Fryer as VP Global Aftermarket Business BorgWarner has appointed Neil Fryer as Vice President and General Manager for its Global Aftermarket Business. In the role, he will be responsible for managing the Aftermarket business which includes the Hartridge, Delphi Technologies and Delco Remy brands. Neil initially joined BorgWarner in 2020 as part of its acquisition of Delphi Technologies, where he was Vice President Product, Marketing and Strategic Planning at Delphi Technologies Aftermarket. Commenting on his new role, Neil said: “I am delighted to take over the BorgWarner Aftermarket business during such an exciting time of change and growth. Our mission is unchanged, to make vehicles drive cleaner, better, and further right through their lives while helping our aftermarket customers navigate the biggest changes the automotive industry has ever faced, and truly embrace the opportunities that these provide for a clean, energy-efficient world.” Neil succeeds Alex Ashmore who moved on to pursue other opportunities. New role at Autotech Group Dominic Hunter has been appointed as Group Quality Manager for Autotech Group, a new position that sits across the Recruit, Training and Academy divisions to ensure compliance across the business. He has worked in similar roles with organisations across the private, public and charity sectors for more than 25 years. On the role, Dominic commented: “I am delighted to have joined Autotech Group at this very exciting time for the organisation, having first worked with CEO Gavin White 15 years ago. It is a fantastic business, and I am looking forward to driving quality and compliance to the forefront of all that we offer to our clients, contractors and interns.” Simon King, Managing Director, Autotech Group added: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the company to utilise Dominic’s skills and experience to enhance our values and processes as we continue to grow. We are delighted to welcome him to the team.” FER appoints new Operations Manager The Federation of Engine Re-manufacturers (FER) has appointed Rod Bennett as its new Operations Manager, replacing Owen Laurenson who has moved on after three years in the role. With 30 years of automotive industry experience, Rob’s career has been focused on technical engineering, with experience as an independent vehicle engineer and assessor, plus roles for Motorsport UK and DEKRA. Commenting on his new role, Rob said: “I am looking forward to helping lead and shape efforts to deliver improved value for our members. As the automotive industry goes through one of its biggest evolutions against the backdrop of electrification, it’s a really exciting time to join as we negotiate the challenges posed.” FER President David Eszenyi added: “The industry is set for the biggest evolution in its history with the increasing take up of electric vehicles and strengthened efforts to make the remanufacturing industry more sustainable.
